I just thought it was the coolest thing in the world and ever since I've been looking in the UK for rainbow bagels. Mix the dough together with your handsPut flour on the table surface and knead the doughUsing the tip of a teaspoon smear a small amount of food colouring onto the top of each of the five dough ballsKneed each dough ball individually, blending the colour inPlace each dough ball into its own bowl with a drizzle of oil in the bottom, cover the bowls in cling film and wait for an hour until they double in size.Roll each ball of dough so that they are flat 20x30cm rectangles.
Cut each in half and layer the different colours on top of each otherCut the colourful dough stack into five strips.
